Food Program

We are pleased to announce our partnership with Local Lunchbox.

The Local Lunchbox launch at Cristo Rey Boston marks the program’s first in-school service since its inception in June 2020.

Local Lunchbox also provides free summer meals out of local restaurants and community distribution sites, whereas the Cristo Rey program will be the first in which students receive fresh, nutritious, and culturally familiar meals on a daily basis during the school year.

Local Lunchbox is organized by the Shah Family Foundation and Stock Pot Malden, which help identify opportunities to match Boston-area chefs with local schools and community organizations and ensure consistent access to USDA-quality food.

We are deeply appreciative of the efforts of the Shah Family Foundation and Stock Pot Malden for spearheading this effort and look forward to the delicious meals provided by Soulful Cuisine
