Dan Curran Named Athletic Director of Cristo Rey Boston High School

Daniel Curran

Cristo Rey Boston is pleased to announce Daniel Curran has joined our staff as Athletic Director. Dean of Students Khari Roulhac made the announcement, praising Curran as an accomplished leader in his field.

Dan brings a wealth of experience, having previously served as assistant athletic director for Somerville High School, where he was instrumental in creating a middle-school feeder program, and Andover High School, where he focused on compliance, web operations and game management, said Roulhac.” “His energy, and enthusiasm for mentoring student athletes is quite evident.”

According to Curran, “it was his own coaches, starting with his dad, who made such a positive impact on his life. They are people he continues to see as mentors, helping him launch his career as athletic director.” Curran got his start in his hometown of Wenham, MA, playing baseball and basketball, and interning in the Hamilton-Wenham athletic office. “The best part of athletics are the lessons you learn; teamwork, trust, the payoff of hard work, digging deep into yourself to find your strengths – important lessons that will serve you well for the rest of your life.”

Curran is “excited to meet the kids and start building relationships.”  He is a graduate of Salem State University and received his MS in Sports Leadership at Northeastern University. He is currently a Ph. D Candidate at Northeastern University, working in his Doctorate of Education.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to make an impact on a kid’s life,’ said Curran. “I look forward to taking my experience and bringing it to a mission-driven school like Cristo Rey.”
