Dear Members of the Cristo Rey Boston Community,
Let me begin by sharing how welcomed I have felt during my first academic year as president of Cristo Rey Boston High School. Through my interactions with students, staff, faculty and board members, it is abundantly clear that our mission to prepare our young men and women to succeed in college, career and life is at the very core of who we are and what we do every day.
The journey this year has been challenging, inspiring and rewarding, one of real growth for me personally, but also a journey that has allowed me to bear witness to the struggles and triumphs of our student population. I would like to commend this year’s graduating class who are all accepted to college for the upcoming fall. The Class of 2018 is the 8th consecutive graduating class to achieve this accomplishment and a statistic we are particularity proud of.
This summer we will be embarking on a strategic plan to build a stronger platform for success for all students, including a technology implementation plan that will build on the acquisition of 21st century skills for our students. I am excited to work together as a community to propel Cristo Rey to an even greater level of success.
I am blessed to work with a staff and faculty that share a deep commitment to providing students the opportunity to better their lives through a Catholic education. A rigorous curriculum, a valuable four-year work experience and a support system that enables students to grow spiritually, academically and emotionally is the key to student success. Our talented, passionate faculty and staff and more than 120 corporate partners are dedicated to delivering the best possible learning for our students in the classroom and in the workplace and to guiding them to achieve their goals. I want to thank the Archdiocese of Boston, the Board of Trustees, our donors and corporate sponsors for your past and continuing support to help make our mission possible.
I continue to look for every opportunity to maximize success for all our students, to ensure that our students feel safe and valued, and to stimulate their minds and hearts in both school and work experiences. I hope you will accept my open invitation to visit the school and see for yourself what makes Cristo Rey Boston special. Please email
me directly to set up a time to come visit. I welcome your involvement as a corporate work study partner
and deeply thank you for your involvement
