Cristo Rey High School Boston

Academic Signing Day

Important Update

The 10th Annual Academic Signing Day Fundraiser has been rescheduled for
Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at the Hyatt Regency Boston.

We need your help and support more than ever right now.
Our students come from the most vulnerable families in Boston, and we are already hearing of lost jobs and financial hardship. It is more critical than ever that Cristo Rey Boston remain a safe harbor for our students.

Some facts about the students we serve:
The median family income is $26,000 for a family of four
Most freshman enter 2-3 grade levels behind academically
100% of our students qualify for the federal free and reduced lunch program
All of our students are in need of a chance to succeed
100% of our students are accepted to a 4-year college

Our response to date:
Remote learning is fully implemented with students receiving 5 hours of instructional time per day
Each Monday, our Corporate Work Study staff will provide remote learning opportunities to all students
Our counselors are virtually meeting regularly with students and alumni and responding to their concerns
College counselors are working with senior students and families to finalize the college decision making process
Our students are eligible to participate in the City of Boston's daily "grab and go" breakfast and lunch bag program
